“Hello, my name is Ao Oni. I have a pet named Yaoi but actually his name is Hiroshi. Don’t tell anyone or I will eat you. Okay? Yaoi wouldn’t like that very much. He’d probably just cry and say some weird sentence, ‘Don’t rape me!’ I don’t know what that means but I like to pet Yaoi. He doesn’t like it but I give him other things. He’s pretty and I love him. But I don’t think he’ll ever love me…”

Indiana: 12-Year-Old Boy Made Honorary Marine before succumbing to cancer-related infection. Local Marine stood vigil at his hospital door the entire night before he passed away.
12-year-old Cody Green has always admired the strength and courage of the marines. At 12:35 Saturday afternoon, it was the Marines admiring the strength and courage of Cody.
Cody had leukemia since he was 22 months old, but beat the disease three times. Although he was cancer-free, the chemotherapy lowered his immune system and Saturday afternoon, he died from a fungus that attacked his brain. Members of the Marines decided to step in and do something.
“They decided Cody, with the strength and honor and courage he showed through the whole thing, he should be a Marine,” said Cody’s father David Snowberger.
Cody was given Marine navigator wings and was made an honorary member of the United States Marine Corps. For one Marine, that wasn’t enough, so he did even more.
“The night before Cody passed, he stood guard at Cody’s door at the hospital all night long for eight hours straight,” said Snowberger.

Reblogging this just because I think it deserves more notes than stupid hipster shorts get or a pretty girl does.

Very powerful picture. I had to reblog.

Father With Autistic Son Sends His Kid to School With a Wire, Exposes Bullying and Abuse by Teachers.

MASSIVE TRIGGER WARNING FOR BULLYING BY TEACHERS, ABLEISM

Dear Akian’s teachers:

Fuck.  You.

Fuck you for tormenting a child this way.  Fuck you for treating him and every other student in that class like trash.  Fuck you for potentially scarring them all for life; for making them scared in a place they should feel safe in.  Fuck you for contributing to the cycle of special needs helplessness, where kids are given up on and left to languish instead of being given the skills and knowledge they need.  Fuck you and all your ableism, your lies, and your perpetration of a culture where people like us are devalued, harassed, and abused.

Fuck you.

Just fuck you.

This video makes me want to scream. But as a child care provider, it also galvanizes me. Because I know that I will NEVER be what those teachers are. And it makes me even more determined to always be a positive spot in the day of the kids I take care of. To always be someone worthy of their trust and their parents trust.

father of the fucking year.

I just watched this whole thing.  I really really urge you to do the same.

Parenting - you’re doing it right.

I have seen SO MANY special needs students bullied by teachers. You do not understand how close I have been to punching teachers before. This is an epidemic, this needs to be talked about.

Wow.  As a step-parent of a severely autistic child who goes to therapy and school, this seriously scares the shit out of me.  My son is non-verbal, so it’s not like he’d be able to tell me if things like this were going on.  This breaks my fucking heart.

I was bullied all through school for a speech impediment and the thought that this poor man’s child had to go through it too?  With autism?!  It’s the worst thing.  Bullying of this caliber is the worst thing that could ever happen to someone, be them child, adult, impaired or not.  It changes them forever.  And you can’t ever change it back.

I just can’t understand the world sometimes.

These are exactly the type of people I despise. The people who say ‘oh, I want to do such and such for a living, but if that doesn’t work out, I’ll just be a teacher or something’. No. Just stop. Right now. If you think teaching is a ‘fall back’ job that any joe shmoe can do, you need to get the fuck out of classrooms and as far the fuck away from children as fucking possible. Teaching is not a job any person can do. Teaching is an insanely difficult profession that requires a TON of dedication, patience, and perseverance. It is not an easy or glamorous job. You’ll have to do more than you signed up for for less money than you were promised. You have to be babysitter, surrogate parent, encyclopedia, counselor, friend, mentor, and authority all at once. If you can’t handle doing all of those things simultaneously, you have no qualifications to be helping students learn, of any age, grade, or mental capability. The women in this video are disgusting. There’s really no other word for it. They clearly overestimated themselves and had no idea what they were getting into. But what scares me the most is the fact that they probably went into the profession, marveling to themselves and others about how great with kids they assumed they were.

Okay I want to cry ??

I have a little autistic brother. And even though he does get upset easily over little things, I can understand. It’s how he is, and even though it can bother me, I get over it. I mean, that’s how he is ! And besides being upset sometimes, he’s really smart and silly.

And since he’s autistic, one of the biggest rules we have is to never yell at him, or tell him something like they did.

So, WHY THE HELL are they teaching???

I know that you are’nt supposed to say those things.

I’ve known ever since he was my brother ; for 12 years.

And I won’t lie - I have gotten mad at him. But never for just being sad or asking questions - it was only ever when he was screaming or something like that - and that’s just because I don’t do well with screaming and such in general. And even when I DID get mad, I never took it out on him!

You CAN’T just - mess up their plans and tell them things like that - ! It scares them, because kids with autism generally like plans, so when you say something like ” Oh no you can’t see ; you can’t see your dad “, that’s going to make them flip out ! It’s like… I suppose, telling someone that their parent is dead, and them believing it. It’s traumatizing, it flips their whole world upside down, and regardless of who you are or what you have or etc ; having everything you know / love flipped on it’s head makes you scared and angry and sad.

Let me tell you this - Yes, they can’t always say what they want too. But, they are incredibly smart. My brother can memorize credits from a movie, and writes them down on papers and such. He likes asking others questions, like… “Shrek is made by Pixar?” asking if it’s true or not; And things like that too see if they get it right. Those are his jokes, what he has fun with, and such things like that.

I hope she pays for this ( in the non - literal sense / by apologizing), and that she feels shamed for looking down on people like this. No one deserves anything like this, regardless of who you are.

When a group of dog rescuers arrived at the market to show the dogs available for adoption, somebody had left 12 puppies on the street – 8 of them were approximately 5 weeks old.
In shock, the rescuers didn’t know what to do. The group had recently canceled several adoption days at the market because of bad weather, so they were over their capacity with puppies still needing to be adopted out. Also, the abandoned puppies were so small that they needed to be fed every two hours, including at night.
That’s when a spayed stray dog approached, lay down beside the shoe box where the puppies were sleeping, and began caring for them.

She wouldn’t let anyone get near the babies.

Very carefully, the rescuers placed the puppies closer to her.

She began caressing them and offering the warmth of her belly to the newborns.

The maternal instinct kicked in and…

after a few hours, she had milk and was feeding the puppies.

The rescue group named her Vida, which means “life” in Portuguese.

I’ve seen this meme before, but never participated. This time, I was listening to the audiobook of Neil Gaiman’s Fragile Things when I came across it, so I looked up page 45 on Google Books.
Do not fear the ghosts in this house; they are the least of your worries.
Ah, yes.

Im defiantly holding “Night in my hand, you know that incredibly sad memoir (but aren’t they all) about the holocaust *sobbing now*

“So real!”
…. ok?

“There was a table set out under a tree in front of the house, and the March Hare and the Hatter were having a tea at it: Doormouse was sitting between them, fast asleep, and the other two were using it as a cushion, resting their elbows on it, and talking over its head.”
So I’m going to watch a lazy, public threesome…?

“Still, I don’t think wolves will eat me. I must be far too dry and tough. That’s one comfort.”
